This is the very start of an illustration I did about a year ago and never finished, I still plan to. She is the main character in the fiction/fantasy series I hope to write (i've started). I'm pretty paranoid that someone will steal my characters or ideas so I'm not going to go into detail about much until I'm more comfortable with sharing.

Oh, and people seem to think this girl looks like me or is me but she isn't, her character really isn't even close to mine, just a few little things, she has dark eyes (and hair, but mine is brown and wavy/curly not black), draws, and likes birds. I am not tall, I am not an empath, I do not have long strait black hair, I don't eat meat and I do not have a pet crow. That's her crow on her shoulder preening her hair by the way, barely sketched.

The title is representive of her ancestry, she is descendant from several races.

Had to favourite this one. Technically maybe not as advanced as some of your other work, but then I did state I am not an artist. However, have only just read the history - sorry about that, tend to like to make my comments without bias, even from the artist!! The emotion you have put into this face when you were only 17 is absolutely formidable, and reminded me initially of the "Mona Lisa", hope that's the correct spelling, this is not to give you a" big head", as we say in England, but to impress on you how talented you really are.
As stated before, cannot wait to see more work from you.

Thankyou very much, I feel quite flattered to have any of my work compared to the Mona Lisa (not sure about spelling either, haha) but wow what a compliment=D

I drew this on a 11 X 14 paper. The girls face is an inch and a half long, I cropped out this little part that I finished so it is not really meant to be veiwed this closely. Although the rough texture of the face is still evident at the appropriate distance, I overworked the paper a bit. I'm still getting used to working with color and also the pencils I use now, Prismacolors, as well as the layering/blending in the technique I've come to use with them.

There is still much to complete and I can't wait to post it, thank you so much!
